Wrong number of columns in home page layout

Hello,
I’ve created a chld theme from the Alizee theme.
The theme is showing the wrong number of columns in the home page: if I select 3 columns layout, the posts are distributed across 2 columns. If I select 4 columns layout, then 3 columns will be shown.
I need to show 3 columns on a 1280 px wide screen.
I think the problem is that the width of the posts-loop div is too small. I can also see that the single posts have position:absolute, so trying to modify the width of the posts-loop div does not help because the posts remain positioned absolutely.
Which one is the file containing the code to position the posts so that I may try to debug it?
Thank you.

Hello,

I couldn’t recreate your issue. You can try to deactivate all your plugins and see if it helps.

Hello, thank you for your reply. The problem does not happen on the parent theme. It only occurs if I create a child theme according to the info here: https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/advanced-topics/child-themes/
When I activate the child theme (without any modifications, only the two files described in the guide, without any extra modifications), the home page gets the wrong number of columns. If I switch back to the original theme, then the number of columns is correct again.

Hello, try to use the following CSS code as a workaround.

You can add CSS code in Customize → Additional CSS section.

#primary.content-area {
    padding: 0;
}

Please feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.
