Underline bisects text of site title

Hello, hello,
Anyone know a fix for this? My site title has an green underline under it - which is fine, I like it there - however, that underline passes through, bisecting, the tail of the letter “p." (see attached screengrab).
Any idea how I can get that line to go behind the text instead of in front of?
Many thanks!!

Hi Csaba,

Sorry to bug you, just wondered if you had any idea about my underline problem! Hoping for a solution :slight_smile:

Thank you!

Hi,

You can move the text-slider title’s line lower with this Custom CSS:

.text-slider .maintitle {
    padding-bottom: 30px !important;
}

Please add the above CSS to your Child Theme’s style.css or in case you haven’t setup a Child Theme already, then you can also add the CSS to wp-admin -> Appearance -> Customizer -> Additional CSS so you won’t loose the changes after Theme or WordPress updates.

Please let me know how it works.

Kind Regards,
Csaba

Thank you very much, that worked. Is there a way, instead of moving the underline lower, to reduce it’s width, so it’s not as long?
I haven’t set up a Child theme (not entirely sure what that is!). Is there a how-to guide that you would recommend?
Thanks, hope you have a great day!

Hi,

Yes, you can reduce the line’s width with this Custom CSS:

.text-slider .maintitle:after {
    width: 20% !important;
    margin-left: -10% !important;
}

Please let me know how it works.

Kind Regards,
Csaba

That worked! Thank you.
