Hi,

I just started to use Sydney, Great theme thanks!

I have to translate theme because theme will be blog section in my page (www.ltg.fi/blogi).

Do I need child theme when translating (and where I can have Child theme?) ?
Can I translate with Filezilla and where the files locate?

Best regards

Mikko

Hello Mikko,

There are many different ways to translate a WordPress website.

Please check this page to learn more about one of the ways:

Please feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.

P. S.
If you want to have only one language different from English, then you just have to select that language in site settings. However, you might want to check if Sydney theme is translated into that language first. You can check it here:

Hi Roman,

Thank you for advices. I changed the language in settings. I only want finnish language.

There is still one problem. If i go to my blog section there is english text on couple of parts. http://www.ltg.fi/blogi/tulossa-piakkoin-julkaisuja-verkkolehdista-ja-niiden-hyodyntamisesta/

Kind Regards

Hello Mikko,

You can try to export and import translation files manually, please check this post:

You can find those translation files here:
https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-themes/sydney/fi/default
But please note that only 29% of strings are translated to Finnish language.

Kind Regards, Roman.
