Testimonials - "Archive"

Hi,

I am loving the theme but have a small problem with the page that displays all of the Testimonials when the ‘Read More’ button is clicked. I am using the Testimonials widget on the home page

The title of the linked page is displaying as ‘Archive - Testimonials’ and I would like to remove the word ‘Archive’ but can’t find where to do that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Site is www.coconutoilguru.co.uk

Thanks

Hello @AnneMM,

  1. Please go to your public_html/wp-content/themes/sydney folder (you can access it via cPanel or FTP), copy archive.php file and rename it to archive-testimonials.php.

  2. Open archive-testimonials.php file with text editor, find the following code:

<header class="page-header">
	<?php
		the_archive_title( '<h3 class="archive-title">', '</h3>' );
		the_archive_description( '<div class="taxonomy-description">', '</div>' );
	?>
</header><!-- .page-header -->

…replace it with this code:

<header class="page-header">
	<h3 class="archive-title">Testimonials</h3>
	<?php
		the_archive_description( '<div class="taxonomy-description">', '</div>' );
	?>
</header><!-- .page-header -->

…and save the file.

  1. Enjoy! :slight_smile:

Please feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.

Kind Regards, Roman.

Hi Roman,

That worked perfectly, thank you for your help.

Hello Vishal,

  1. Please check this WordPress Theme Handbook page regarding a child theme:
    https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/advanced-topics/child-themes/

  2. You can create these archives, but you might want to check this topic first:
    How to remove the word "Category:" from page header

Kind Regards, Roman.
