SYDNEY: White space before footer (not on front page template)

Hello,

I have white space after my Sydney social profile widget and before the footer. I would like to remove this space entirely.

I do not want to use the front page template, as I wish to keep my sidebar widget.

You can see what I mean at https://thegarretpodcast.com/andrew-rule/

Cheers,

The Garret

Hi,

You can hide the pace from below your social media and above the footer, with this Custom CSS:

.page-wrap {
    padding-bottom: 0 !important;
}

.entry-footer {
    display: none !important;
}

.page .page-wrap .content-wrapper {
    padding-bottom: 0 !important;
}

.content-area .hentry {
    padding-bottom: 0 !important;
}

Please add the above CSS to your Child Theme’s style.css or in case you haven’t setup a Child Theme already, then you can also use this plugin to add the CSS to it: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css/ so you will not loose the changes on theme updates.

Please let me know how it works.

Best Regards,
Csaba

Hello Csaba,

Unfortunately this did not work. See pages including https://thegarretpodcast.com/john-marsden/ and https://thegarretpodcast.com/andrew-rule/

Hi,

On this page the Recent Tweets widget creates that large gap: https://thegarretpodcast.com/john-marsden/ , please limit the widget to show only 2-3 posts from twitter, so then it will not cover a large area like that.

On the other page I have inspected the Custom CSS doesn’t seems to be applied, so please apply the Custom CSS using the plugin I have recommended, so then it will have to work.

Best Regards,
Csaba
