Sydney skills widget bar

#1

Hello again,

Thank you for providing such awesome support.

I am having trouble with the text inside the skills widget… The widget is working properly, but the percentage number on the bar keeps getting confused with the text description of the bar.

You can see on my homepage http://wedonttalkabout.com/

Is there any way to change the position of the percentage number?

Thank you,

Hello,

normally those skill bars are displaying how far you learned something. So it is unusual to have such long sentences for the description.
But please try this code:

.roll-progress .perc.show {
  position: relative;
  top: 27px;
  right: -32px;
}

This should move the numbers next to the skill bar.

Best regards,

Many thanks!

Forgive my ignorance… Which file should I put that in?

Please ignore my previous post, I found the client file.

I inserted the text, however I know cannot access the site. I get this error message at http://wedonttalkabout.com/wp-admin/post.php:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘.’, expecting function (T_FUNCTION) in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas10_data02/72/2843772/html/wp-content/themes/sydney/widgets/fp-clients.php on line 148

Can you please assist.

You’re welcome!

Every CSS code you write or you get from here should come into a style.css file. Therefor you should create a child theme or - the easier way - install a plugin called custom css. The code you pasted into the theme file has caught some priblems since you may done somerhing wrong. So delete the changes, install the custom css plugin and paste the code in it.
