Sydney Pro Update & Music in header video


I purchased Sydney Pro at the end of Sept. It needs an update but it fails every time. Could you kindly assist? I really want to update it asap.

Also, I have a video in the header of my homepage. Although the video plays well when people come to my website, the music is not played. Is there a way I can ensure people turn on /off the music of the video? I have seen several websites that include a mute button and offer the opportunity to listen to the music when watching the video on the homepage.

  1. You can manually update the theme, you can find instructions on this WordPress Codex page:

  2. Header video feature comes from WordPress itself and it doesn’t support sound. I don’t think that there is an easy way to enable audio, unfortunately.

I have tried multiple times now to update the theme. I have little experience in websites and the page you sent me is difficult for me to follow. I do not see the instructions on how to update your theme, here is what I see:

Get new themese

Adding new themes (adding new themes using the administration panels, adding new themes by using cPanel, adding new themes manually (FTP)

Selecting the active theme

Creating theme

It doesn’t say anywhere how to manually update the website. I am worried about adding the update as if it was a new theme, I am scared of losing all the work on my website.

Can you kindly advise what I need to do, this is really an issue.

Hello, please try to do the following.

Go to Appearance → Theme License section → delete the License Key and click Save Changes → enter the License Key again and click Activate License → click Save Changes → try to update the theme once again.
