Sydney Pro Tasty / Restaurant Menu Bar Problem after Update

Hi Support Team,
second topic after updating Core and Theme.

The menu bar is after scrolling down and back up again overlaying the contact info bar. It worked fine until the update. Any idea how to fix that?

I would appreciate your awesome help again :wink:

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us about our theme Sydney Pro. I am happy to help out.

If I could get your issue correctly, you’d add the below CSS code to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS from dashboard.

    @media only screen and (min-width: 1025px) {
      #aktuelles,
      #kontakt {
        scroll-margin-top: 90px;
      }
    }

Hi Kharis,
sorry, did not work. Any other idea? :wink:

Hi,

Thank you for updating me.

Have you tried flushing cache before reloading your site to check the result?

Yes.
Does it look good on your PC?

Edit: I flushed cache, turned caching plugin off / on, used several different browsers on different devices and cleared all website data in the browsers, used private mode in Firefox and Chrome. The menu bar is still overlapping the contact bar :wink:

Should the css not be something like this. Only problem - the menu bar is after scrolling down again not on top of the site, it remains 9px / 55px whatever you use below the top.:

    .site-header.fixed {
        margin-top: 9px;
    }

I have seen, that when you open the inspector the menu bar is in the beginning with

    .site-header {
        margin-top: 55px;
    }

But after scrolling down and up again, it changes to

    .site-header.fixed {
        margin-top: 0;
    }

Hi,

Thank you for getting back.

Can you take a screen recording to point me the issue you’re getting, so it will help me better identify the root of the problem?

Hi Kharis,

i have the same problem after upgrading. The menu bar overlays the contact info bar. In my case it will overlaying from the start up. I send you a message with the url of the website…

Hi @kramp-it, @tomdoe,

As checked further, you’d be able to fix this issue by adding this CSS code to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS from dashboard.

    @media only screen and (min-width: 1025px) {
      .site-header.fixed {
        margin-top: 80px !important;
      }
      .site-header.fixed.float-header {
        margin-top: 0 !important;
      }
    }

    @media only screen and (min-width: 1200px) {
      .site-header.fixed {
        margin-top: 55px !important;
      }
    }
