SYDNEY PRO: Crelly slider and theme fonts

Hello,

I have installed Crelly Slider on my Sydney Pro site: https://badproducerproductions.com/. It works well, thank you.

However, I would like the fonts to match the rest of the Sydney Pro theme (I have changed the font to Cutive via Google fonts).

How do I do this?

Thank you.

Hello there,

Try adding the below custom CSS code:

.crellyslider {
  font-family: 'Cutive', serif !important;
}

Hello,

Thanks for this. But where do I add it?

If I add it in Customise > Additional CSS, my previous CSS changes disappear.

(See comment from my previous thread here: https://athemes.com/forums/topic/sydney-pro-crelly-slider-and-theme-fonts/#post-710171.

Hello again,

I am not sure this works. Where to I add it?

Nothing happened when I added to Customise > Appearance, nor did anything happen when I tried to add it within the plugin.

Hello there,

Please make sure that all of custom code you inserted into Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS is error free. You can validate it by using this tool: https://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/#validate_by_input.

Hello Kharis,

Thanks for this. The font has changed…

How do I control the colour and sizing of the text?

Cheers,

Astrid

Hi Astrid,

It looks like your slider doesn’t have any text now. Do you still need an assistance with it? If so, please put it back, so I can get the exact CSS selector associated with it.

In addition, your site is displaying some PHP warnings that come from the cache plugin. To prevent these appear, please check the wp-config.php file, and then disable WP_DEBUG mode.

define('WP_DEBUG', false);

Hello Kharis,

Yes, I still do need help with the text (which I have added back in). I’d like the text to be white and in a larger size (I am not sure what size yet), and of course in the matching font.

In relation to your other advice, where do I find the wp-config.php file? Is that code something I can add via the Custom CCS widget?

Thanks,

Bad Producer

Hello there,

Thank you for the followup. To control the font size of the slide content, you can define CSS declaration in the Custom CSS option associated with the selected text element. Please review the documentation (section: Slide Preview Area and Elements (text and images)).

wp-cofig.php is part of WordPress’ core files that resides along with wp-content, wp-admin and wp-includes folders in your site’s root directory. To access this file, you need to use either FTP client program or cPanel’s file manager.

Watch this video for visual instruction.

Or, you might be interested reading the codex: https://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php.
