Sydney Pro: Create a link for the address contact information on header

I’d like to know how to create a link on my website so that the address on the top of my website redirects me to Google Maps.

I’ve tried to change the code in /wp-content/themes/sydney-pro-ii/widgets/fp-contact.php and in /wp-content/themes/sydney-pro-ii/widgets/contact-info.php and add the link by myself, but it seems that it isn’t working at all.

Here is the edit from fp-contact.php:

	if( ($address) ) {
		echo '<div class="fp-contact">';
		echo '<span><i class="fa fa-home"></i></span>';
		if( ($above_address) ) {
		echo '<span class="contact-above">' . $above_address . '</span>';
		echo '<span>' . '<a target="_blank" href="' . $address . '">' . $address . '</a>' . '</span>';
		echo '</div>';

And here the edit in contact-info.php:

	if( ($address) ) {
		echo '<div class="contact-address">';
		echo '<span><i class="fa fa-home"></i></span>' . '<a target="_blank" href="' . $address . '">' . $address . '</a>';
		echo '</div>';

I want to be able to apply the link to the whole theme, so whenever someone types in an address in the WordPress widget this will automatically redirect you to the link that I’ve placed. That links works with every single address that I need to place, so it would be cool if I can make it work in that emplacement.

I’ve also tried to change the link, but the problem seems to be that the theme doesn’t recognize a link in there.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this and how to get the address’ link in that header?

Thanks in advance,

Hello Raquel,

It looks like this issue requires some coding and testing, this goes beyond our support policy. It’s considered advanced customization. As an option, you can contact Codeable for this kind of service, or find a reputable freelancer on Upwork.

Kind Regards, Roman.
