Sydney heder above posts only (not pages)

Hello,

i would like to give my Posts(blog) header.
But if i do it via “cusomize” every page (except front page) gets header.
I need it just for posts.

Is there a way to do it?

Thank you!

Hello @walrus,

I don’t think that there is an easy way to do this. It looks like this issue requires some PHP coding and testing, this goes beyond our support policy. It’s considered advanced customization. As an option, you can find a reputable freelancer on Upwork for this kind of service.

Kind Regards, Roman.

Hello there,

Sorry to interrupt. Try to do the following steps which might be an easy alternative.

  1. Install and activate the TC Custom JavaScript plugin
  2. Go To Appearance > Custom JavaScript
  3. Paste the following code into the provided box

;(function($) {

   if( $('body').hasClass('blog') ) {

      if( !$('.header-image').is(':visible') ) {

        var imageURL = 'http://yoursite.com/path/to/your/header-image.jpg';

        $('.header-clone').remove();

        $('.header-image').css({
          'display': 'block',
          'background-image': 'url('+imageURL+')'
        });
      }

   }

})(jQuery);

In the code above, replace http://yoursite.com/path/to/your/header-image.jpg with your image from media library (Dashboard > Media > Library).

  1. Update

Then apply the following CSS code into your site’s additional CSS option (Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS):

.blog .site-header:not(.float-header){
   background-color: transparent;
}

.blog .site-header.float-header{
   padding: 5px;
}
