Sub-Menu problem when main menu central with optimisation

Sydney is a great free theme which I am adapting successfully so far. I have been trying to work out 2nd and 3rd tier sub-menus (child) rise horizontal to the top menu layer instead of positioning horizontal with its mother sub-menu.
After a lot of checking plugins and setting I finally came to the realization that this was due to setting the logo and menu to center in the Customization process - Customization > Header Area > Menu Style >.
With inline setting - no problem but with the central (menu and logo) sub-menu problem.
I’ve tried css hacks for moving the inline menu to center under a centered logo but tends to get pretty messy and and affects the responsive actions badly.
Is there any chance that this has been looked at previously (I viewed previous entries passed 15 pages and search didn’t provide any clue)

working menu - inline
Central menu option shows the sub-menus aligning to top

Thanks and regards

Dear Fred,

I would like to apologize in advance for inconvenience.

To temporarily fix this bug, could you please try to apply the following CSS code through the Simple Custom CSS plugin or child theme’s style.css?

#mainnav .sub-menu li {
  float: left;

The permanent fix will come in the next theme update.

Thank you so much for a perfect fix
