Sub Menu not correctly displayed

Hi there,
since the last update to wp 5.6.2 (Sydney 1.75), I have a problem with sub menu:
https://www.jacquetmetals.com/index.php/en/ menu ‘investors’ and select ‘Regulated information’.
The sub menu should appear on the right, it’s not the case.
Could you help me?
Best regards,
Nicolas

Hi Nicolas,

I am sorry for the inconvenience.

Try adding this CSS code to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS from dashboard.

    .site-header #mainnav ul.sub-menu li ul.sub-menu {
      right: auto !important;
      left: -100% !important;
      padding-top: 0;
    }

Let me know whether that works or not.

Hello Kharisblank,

After the wordpress update my website header submenu is not working properly. I did some troubleshooting and could not solve the problem. Find below what I did so far.

  • Deactivated all the plugins using Sydney Theme, problem persists.
  • Used the CSS code you shared here and at the other thread, problem persists.
  • Erased all my CSS code and tested, problem persists.
  • Tried a different theme, problem solved.
  • Tried using a Jquery plugin to fix, problem persists.
  • Tried reinstalling the wordpress latest version, problem persists.

I really enjoy Sydney theme and I have 0 intention to change, so I am ready to fix this.

My website is a multisite with the following URL’s:
foxys.com.br (became a landing page)
en.foxys.com.br
pt.foxys.com.br

Thanks!

Best regards,

Hi,

Thank you for chiming in.

Try adding this CSS code to each site’s Additional CSS, that is located under Dashboard > Appearance > Customize.

    @media only screen and (max-width: 1024px) {
      #masthead .btn-menu {
        display: block !important;
      }
      .btn-menu .sydney-svg-icon {
        fill: #000 !important;
      }
    }

I hope that helps.

Thanks for the tip, but it didn’t work.

I erased all the current CSS and added yours, even so it didn’t work.

Any other suggestion?

Hi,

Thank you for trying.

Do you have active cache on your websites? If so, you should flush it each time additional code applied. Because cache usually blocks recent changes to load on web browser and forces it to load the cached pages.

Kharis,

Just used the plugin WP Super Cache to clear the website cache, the problem persists…

The dropdown submenu on header is not shown… :frowning:

Any other suggestion?

Kharis,

As an update, just downgraded the wordpress version from 5.7 to 5.6.2 and yet the dropdown submenu is not working.

:frowning:

Kharis,

I fixed the issue temporarily using Mega Menu Plugin, with this plugin the submenu is working fine.

Thanks!
