Static menu on front page doesn't work

Hello,

I’m setting a new website and I want a static menu with white background for the front page with the slider under the menu.
It’s working for all others pages, but not with the front page. Can you help me?

I’m using a child theme, but I didn’t add any code yet.

URL: [http://www.capengenharia.com]

Regards,
Fabio Bianchi

P.S. the slider it’s just for the front page.

Hello Fabio,

The link that you have provided above doesn’t seem to be valid, can you please check it?

Kind Regards, Roman.

Roman, the link it’s correct.

www.capengenharia.com

Please try another time, be in mind that the server is in Brasil, so could take a while to load

Best

Hello Fabio, try to use the following CSS code.

You can add CSS code in Customize → Additional CSS section.

body.home header#masthead {
    position: static;
}

Please feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.

Kind Regards, Roman.

Hello Roman,

I put the code you gave me on the style.css of the sydney child theme at first and didn’t worked.
After I tried like you recommended and put the code in the Additional CSS and is working.

That’s good, but I wanna know why it isn’t working using the child theme style.css file?

This is all the content of the style.css

*/

body.home header#masthead {

    position: static;

}

.site-header {
    background-color: rgba(255,255,255,1.0)!important;

}

and the functions.php of the same child theme

<?php
/**
 * Sydney child functions
 *
 */

/**
 * Enqueues the parent stylesheet. Do not remove this function.
 *
 */
add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'sydney_child_enqueue' );
function sydney_child_enqueue() {

    wp_enqueue_style( 'parent-style', get_template_directory_uri() . '/style.css' );

}

/* ADD YOUR CUSTOM FUNCTIONS BELOW */

Am I missing something?

Fabio Bianchi

It might be a caching issue, please check this WordPress Codex page:
