Slider overlay not working

Hello there!

It seems that the CSS custom code for the overlay in the slider is not working since the last update (1.26):

.header-slider:after{
  display: block;
  content: '';
  position: absolute;
  width: 100%;
  height: 100%;
  top: 0;
  left: 0;
  background: rgba(0,0,0,0.4);
  z-index: 2;
}

.text-slider-section{
  z-index: 3;
}

The text section is overlaying too. It looks like “z-index” is not longer working.

Please, could you help me?

Thanks!

Hello @kuntkint,

I don’t see this issue on my localhost.

Can you please provide some explanatory screenshots and a link to your website to let me inspect it?

Kind Regards, Roman.

Hello Roman,

Sure, this is the website: http://www.trama.com.co/

Now the custom CSS code is applied but, as you can see, the opacity is applied to the text of the slider too, so it’s hard to read it. I don’t want the opacity to be applied to the text and the button, just to the slider pictures.

Thanks!

Slider’s code changed a little bit after recent update to fix a bug, I think that it caused this issue.

Please try to use this code instead:

.slide-item:after {
    display: block;
    content: '';
    position: absolute;
    width: 100%;
    height: 100%;
    top: 0;
    left: 0;
    background: rgba(0,0,0,0.4);
    z-index: 2;
}

.slide-inner {
    z-index: 3 !important;
}

I hope that it will help you.

Kind Regards, Roman.

Hi Roman,

It worked! Thank you very much for your help!

Best Regards.

Hi Guys, is it possible to get more information where to find the code? Which file, line etc…

I have the same behavior on my page since the update to 1.26

You are welcome @kuntkint!

@pokaflat, if you used the same custom CSS code, then you have to replace it as well. It could be in your child theme’s style.css file or in custom CSS plugin. Can you please provide a link to your website to let me check it out?

Kind Regards, Roman.

Sorry, this is the wrong page. my fault.

this is the right page:

www.kfv-los.de/wp

I am not that familiar with the deep coding. I tried to search for the code fragments above in the style.css. With no success

Well, that site is fine, there is no such issue that @kuntkint described above.

Or maybe you did not have a slider overlay and want to add it?

Kind Regards, Roman.

This is how it looks like.

Sliderview

Maybe I am wrong. But this behavior “sounds” like the behavior from kuntkint.
The slider text “Willkommen beim KFV-LOS” and the button was in the center prior to the update. The following sliders have the same behavior.

Hello @pokaflat,

As I already said above, slider’s code has changed a little bit after recent update to fix a bug, please clear your browser’s cache to fix the appearance of your slider.

Please feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.

Kind Regards, Roman.

Hi Roman,

I tried it on my laptop at work. It was fine. Not this behavior.
I will try it with my laptop at home as well. I think it will work.
Thanks for your help.

You are welcome @pokaflat,

Kind Regards, Roman.
