Slider height

Hi
I have read a few questions, some a few months ago now, regarding slider size and font sizes but I can’t find the response from the user to say all is fine and all is responsive. So I am posing the question again as I don’t feel confident enough. Added to the fact I’m not good at all this!

I just want the slider height adjusted a bit so that its not completely full page and the viewer can see they can scroll down for more information.

Need to make sure I can convert all this when I use my actual address as I’m on a temp site and a child theme. http://686.cf5.myftpupload.com/

Thanks

Hello there,

To reduce the main slider height, could you please try to do the following?

  1. Install and activate the Header and Footer Scripts plugin
  2. Go To Settings > Header and Footer Scripts panel
  3. Paste the following code into the provided Scripts in footer box

<script>
(function($){

  $(window).on('load resize', function() {

    var slideHeight = $('#slideshow').height();
    var newHeight = slideHeight-150;

    $('#slideshow').height(newHeight);

  });

})(jQuery);
</script>

  1. Save settings

You would need to clear your browser cache before reloading your site.

Hi
when I save settings it comes back with 403 Forbidden and asking if its a false negative.

I wasnt sure about this plug in anyway as it says its not tested on my current wordpress version although there are +20k installations

Thanks

Alternatively, please try to do the following steps:

  1. Install and activate the TC Custom JavaScript plugin
  2. Go To Appearance > Custom JavaScript
  3. Paste the following code into the provided box

(function($){

  $(window).on('load resize', function() {

    var slideHeight = $('#slideshow').height();
    var newHeight = slideHeight-150;

    $('#slideshow').height(newHeight);

  });

})(jQuery);

  1. Update

Let me know how it goes.
