Slider Arrow Color

Dear athemes-Team,

is it possible to change the orange color of the slider arrows to my own color?

Thanks :slight_smile:
Dave

Sure, install a custom CSS plugin so you can keep any further customizations in it.
Then add this code to the code area provided by the plugin:

.flex-direction-nav a {
   background-color: #fbb829;
}

And change #fbb829 to your color.

Hi Vlad,

Ahh, great, Thanks! Is it also possible to hide the category at the post thumbnails? I use different categories for one post, so itโ€™s misleading if thereโ€™s the category information.

Thanks :slight_smile:

I solved it by commenting out the cat-link entry in the content.php

Merry X-Mas!

I have a question about the arrows as well. Can I make them a bit transparent when they are hovered? For example if they are 80% transparent when inactive (un-hovered), when hovered to become 40% transparent, instead of 0% (as it is now).

Is there a (custom) Css code which does this magic, Vlad?

This is the un-hovered opacity:

.flex-direction-nav a {
      opacity: 0.3;
}

And this is when hovered:

.flexslider:hover .flex-prev,
.flexslider:hover .flex-next {
      opacity: 1;
}

Change 1 to the value you like from 0.0 -> 1

There must be something else. It works only when slider is hovered. When I hover over the arrow itself it is still โ€œ1โ€.

Yeah, Flexslider has some weird styles. Use this too please:

.flexslider:hover .flex-next:hover,
.flexslider:hover .flex-prev:hover {
      opacity: 1;
}

Did the job. Excellent! :slight_smile: Thanks!
Btw, is there a safe way to remove the text in the footer area (without messing everything) and add my one text.

There is an option in the Customizer under Footer Credits. You can add your own text there and it will replace the default one.
