Site Title & Tagline Font 2018

Hi, Sydney Pro’s default white text for the site title and tagline performs poorly when displayed over a slider image with light colors. I don’t see any options built in to the theme to modify that. What is the recommended solution? Many thanks.

So I’ve managed to stitch together CSS snippets from other support posts and got a good shadow to work. I put the CSS in the Simple CSS plugin. Here it is:

.site-title{
   text-shadow: 5px 3px 5px black;
}

Hello,

By the way, you can add CSS code in Customize → Additional CSS section without using additional plugins. Please feel free to ask any other questions that you might have in future.

Kind Regards, Roman.

Thanks Roman. I had some issues with the Sydney Child Theme so I flushed that and decided to use the CSS plugin because I assumed any CSS I add to the Pro theme in the ‘Additional CSS’ place will get wiped out by upgrades?

And thanks for the great communication and support - you guys rock.

Nope, you shouldn’t lose that CSS code after theme update.

But please remember about importance of regular full site backups (files and database):
