Received this email from my site late last night:
Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.
In this case, WordPress caught an error with your theme, Sydney Pro.
Next, visit the page where the error was caught (http:////***/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php) and check for any visible issues.
When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information:
WordPress version 5.5.1
Current theme: Sydney Pro (version 2.0.21) Current plugin: (version ) PHP version 7.3.11
An error of type E_PARSE was caused in line 1435 of the file /home//public_html//wp-content/themes/sydney-pro-ii/inc/customizer.php. Error message: syntax error, unexpected '‘checkbo’ (T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE) "
I came across an older post with the same issue, there was a fix apparently released soon after (back in January?)
No updates or anything had been run prior to this notice, not sure where to go from here.
I’ve checked through the site and I don’t see any “visible” issues so I’m not sure if it’s a false positive or something that has rectified itself (both seem unlikely?).
I can also access the ‘Customizer’ from the Appearance menu without issue.
