Sidebar background color

#1

Hi
I am sure this has been answered millions of times and, indeed, I thought I had found the way to do this from other replies but… If I add to custom CSS (per other posts) either of:

#sidebar {
background-color: blue;
}

or

.widget-area {
background-color: #333333;
}

neither works (forget the actual color i’m just trying to see any sort of change).

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance
Nick

Hello Nick,

Thank you for the link!

Please try to use this CSS code to change the background color of your sidebar:

#secondary {
    background-color: blue !important;
}

You can add this code to style.css file of your child theme, also you can use Simple Custom CSS or similar plugin for adding CSS code.

Please feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.

Best Regards, Roman.
