Side Bar Missing

#1

I found it!

questions are:

  1. side is missing on phones and ipad when verticle

  2. I can only have 1 column, not 2 or 3?
    -how can I make more than one column per page?
    -if I make two and treat the 2nd colum as the side bar will that resolve the “missing side bar” issue?

  3. I am new to WP site building, so detailed info is extremely helpful!

Alright,

  1. As I said, the sidebar is hidden on small devices;
  2. You are using a static front page. You need to go back and unset it. Then your blogs posts will show up in columns, like you can see on the theme demo;
  3. Welcome to WordPress :slight_smile:

Thank you.

Re: Blog Posts, I dont have any blog posts. I thought I could design pages in columns.

Re: Side Bar the side colum are widgets only - if I made my widgets into blog posts, would then they would show up like colunms?

Re: Welcome, thanks, it’s fun. but terms are confusing sometimes :slight_smile:

I see that you’re using the Page Builder plugin. You can divide your rows into columns with that plugin.

Anyway, using that plugin is a bit unrelated to the theme. The theme itself creates those columns you in see in the demo from posts.

Sorry, I missed this one. You can start by adding this to a custom CSS plugin:

.content-area {
    width: 100%;
}
.widget-area {
    display: none;
}

um…I have no idea where to put this!

can you be more specific?

where do I go to in the menu?

do I copy & paste it?

#9

Do I download a plug-in for custom css and paste this into it?

#10

ok, it worked. thanks - ahh! you’re the best :slight_smile:

Install this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/my-custom-css
Go to the settings of the plugin and place the code there, it has screenshots on the plugin page I gave you.
