Side bar in Woocommerce pages

#1

Hello!

I’m switching my site over from West Pro to Airi Pro. In my West Pro site, the Woocommerce Shop page had a sidebar but it’s not showing in the Airi Pro Shop page. In addition, the full sidebar isn’t showing in other pages. How can I include it?

Second, just to make sure I’m setting up Airi Pro right, am I able to edit the Woocommerce and Blog pages in Elementor? I didn’t seem to be able to do that in Live Composer but wondering if it’s the same for Elementor. Or is it best practice to create separate pages for these and use widgets?

Thank you!

Nicole

Hello Nicole,

  1. Can you please provide a link to your website?

  2. Those pages have their own .php templates (in WooCommerce plugin directory and in Airi theme directory), so I don’t think that there is an easy way to edit them without PHP coding. But yeah, you can recreate them using widgets, that looks like optimal workaround.

Kind Regards, Roman.

Hi Roman,

Here’s the link to the shop page: https://weplanyoujam.com/book/
It doesn’t really look like a shop page. I expected it to look more like the other shop templates in aThemes.

As for the .php files, I’m working on figuring out to import the child theme (just found the documentation).

I’m also not sure if I did the theme switch properly from West Pro. I just switched the theme and deactivated Live Composer and rebuilt the relevant pages. I’d be happy to provide you login access to have a peek.

Thank you!

Nicole

Hello Nicole, thank you for the link.

Airi is designed to have no WooCommerce sidebar, and I don’t think that there is an easy way to add it back without PHP coding, unfortunately.

In addition, the full sidebar isn’t showing in other pages. How can I include it?

Try to select Default option for Blog layout in Customize → Blog → Index&archives section.

Please let me know if you need more help.

Kind Regards, Roman.

Thanks Roman!

Just so I’m clear, there’s no ability to filter or view categories anywhere in the Airi Shop? It seems like that would be a necessary feature.

If not, can you please share the PHP coding?

Thank you!

Cheers,

Nicole

Hello Nicole,

You can try to select Show categories & products option for Shop page display in Customize → WooCommerce → Product Catalog section and see if it meets your needs.

Kind Regards, Roman.

Thanks Roman but unfortunately it doesn’t work. Without the filters the store just doesn’t function in the way I need it to. With view categories I meant a category menu.

I appreciate your help!

Cheers,

Nicole

You are welcome Nicole, it’s too bad that it doesn’t work for you.

However, you can try our other themes that might meet your needs, here are some examples:
