Showing portfolio in grid instead of masonry

Hi there,

Loving the theme! Thank you guys for all the work.

Question: is it possible with the portfolio plugin to change the masonry grid into a normal grid? With some white space around the images?

And if not? is it possible to add some white space in the masonry?

Thanks in advance,

Hello Marijke,

  1. Now you can use portfolio widget instead of plugin. It should be easier than configuring a shortcode.

  2. You can use images of the same aspect ratio in order to get straight rows.

  3. I don’t think that there is an easy way to add space between portfolio images, but you can try to experiment with gallery plugins to achieve that.

Kind Regards, Roman.

Hello Marijke,

I am sorry, there is no way to change the default masonry grid into normal grid. However, you can add white space around the grid item. It can be done by adding the below custom CSS code into your site’s additional CSS option which resides under the Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS.

.roll-project .project-item {
  padding: 10px;

.roll-project .project-item .project-pop-wrap {
  width: calc(100% - 20px);
  width: -moz-calc(100% - 20px);
  width: -webkit-calc(100% - 20px);
  height: calc(100% - 20px);
  height: -moz-calc(100% - 20px);
  height: -webkit-calc(100% - 20px);

Works like a charm! Thank you, Kharis!

I have another question but I will open a new topic as it is unrelated to this matter.

Again: thank you very much :slight_smile:

You’re always welcome here. I’m glad to have an opportunity to assist you :slight_smile:
