Show only 1 page title (on the blog)

Hi,

just for one page (the blog page) i wish i could display the title “Blog”.

for the rest of the pages, I did :
.page .entry-title {display: none;}
which is ok.

Is there a possbility to have just one title displayed please ?

Thanks again.

Hello Séve,

Please try to use the following CSS code.

You can add CSS code in DashboardAppearanceCustomizeAdditional CSS (WordPress 4.7 and up). Also you can add CSS code directly to style.css file of your child theme.

body.blog div#primary::before {
    content: 'Blog';
    font-size: 32px;
}

Please feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.

Kind Regards, Roman.

Thank you! This is great! :smiley:
If I would like the headline in the middle of the page and with the same font as the other headlines. Is that possible to?

Hello Roman,

I’ve used your suggested/below CSS for this and it works fine.

body.blog div#primary::before {
content: ‘Blog’;
font-size: 32px;
}

However, I would like it to look like the other pages that I have titles. I would like for it to be centered on the page and change the font color and also have the small colored underline underneath. Can you please advise what I need to add to do this?

Kind Regards, Robbin

Hello,

You can try to use the solution from this topic:

But use this:

<div class="panel-grid-cell"><h3 class="widget-title">Blog</h3></div>

<?php if ( have_posts() ) : ?>

…instead of this:

<h4>Blog</h4>

<?php if ( have_posts() ) : ?>

Kind Regards, Roman.

Thank You! This worked perfectly! However, now this blog title is also showing at the footer of the page.

Can you please advise.

Best, Robbin

Hello Robbin,
