Scroll to Top Button malformed on non-Elementor pages

Issue
On my site https://balancecoaching.com, the scroll to top button (go-top) appears correctly on some pages and on others–for example https://balancecoaching.com/play–it appears only as a hovering square without the up arrow.

Further details
It seems that it works on pages generated with Elementor but not on pages built without Elementor (blog main page, individual blog posts).

Inspecting the code on an Elementor-built page, I see

<a class="go-top show">
  <i class="fa fa-angle-up">
    ::before
  </i>
</a>

And for a non-Elementor page, I see

<a class="go-top show">
  <i class="fa fa-angle-up"></i>
</a>

(that is, no ::before)

One possible solution is to do all my page and post editing in Elementor. I think Elementor is too cumbersome for my day-to-day posting, though.

Any suggestions?

Hello there,

As checked on your site’s source code, it seems likely the icon for back to top button doesn’t load properly. Does your Sydney theme’s footer.php file look like this?
