Removing sidebar from woocommerce

Hi

When using sydney pro with woocommerce how do i remove the sidebar on the product pages so my page becomes full width

Hello there,

Thank you for asking.

In order to achieve that objective, you should need to remove an action hook which register the sidebar in the WooCommerce page. It can be passed through the functions.php file in child theme mode.

  1. Download and activate the Sydney Pro child theme
  2. Open the sydney-child/functions.php file. Then, add the following code at the most bottom
remove_action( 'woocommerce_sidebar', 'woocommerce_get_sidebar', 10 );
  1. Open the sydney-child/style.css file. Then, add the following CSS code
.woocommerce-page #primary.col-md-9{
	width: 100%;
 	float: none;
}
  1. Upload the changes through FTP or cPanel

Let me know how it goes. I’ll wait to hear back from you regarding your stats.

I would like to lose white part where sidebar was.

Also, I would like to add some content before and after shop. If thats too complicated to explain here, i would appreciate if you give me some links where I could find and study solution.

Thank You!

I did it!

I applyed css into style.css and that was not working.
When I added css in custom css it fine.

Now, the only problem (for now) is that i want 5 products in row not 3 :slight_smile:
