Remove top menu bar altogether

Hi. Love this theme, excellent sleek design. I was wondering though whether it’s possible to remove the black top navigation bar altogether? On this site for example: http://democracy15.co.nf/ I would like the top black bar which says “Democracy 15 Join in.” gone, so that the first thing on the page is the large image.
