Remove query strings from static resources

I ran my site through gtmetrix.com (love this site) and it gave me some ideas on why my site is running slow. one of the main things it points out states:

Resources with a “?” in the URL are not cached by some proxy caching servers. Remove the query string and encode the parameters into the URL for the following resources:

It then goes on to list a bunch of links,quite a few of them our from the theme. what do i need to do to remove them? Ive listed some below…

You could install a plugin to do this, just to be on the safe side. Here’s an example.
