Remove "home" menu item on home page

#1

Top Nav on the home page shows “home”. Of course, this menu item is needed on interior pages. How do I remove it from the home page top nav? I tried this (below) in customized css for the home page and in the child stylesheet but it didn’t work:

   .home .entry-header { display: none; }

Here’s the home page: http://thompson24-7.com/

Hello there,

I visited your homepage and it looks like the word “Home” doesn’t appear on top content area. I feel you’ve already accomplished it. Let me know if you still have any other else I can help.

It’s showing when I go to the homepage:

Hello there,

You could remove it from menu administration panel under Dashboard > Menus.

Doesn’t that remove the item from ALL page navigation?? “Home” is needed in top nav for interior pages, but it’s kinda stupid to have “Home” showing in top nav on the home page.

I only want to remove the item “home” from the home page top nav, not the other pages on the site.

Hello there,

I am sorry for confusion. To only hide specific home menu item on homepage only, you’d need to add the below CSS code to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS from dashboard.

    .home .menu-item-1314 {
      display: none;
    }

That worked perfectly. Thank you!
