Remove author bio social links on the profile page

Ok I think this is alizee related. If a member edits their profile they can see these option

Author Bio: Facebook
Author Bio: Twitter
Author Bio: Google Plus
Author Bio: Linkedin

Using the inspector, it seems like these are ALizee related. If they are, can you tell me how to disable thhese please

My Website

Yeap, they come from Alizee. You would need a child theme to remove them in an update-proof way. Or you can simply not fill them.

I have a child theme set up. What do I have to do. I want to remove all the added profile information that Alizee adds if there’s more than I listed above. I have a widget that already handles this information, so currently new members are being confused by being asked to input certain detials more than once.

I see. Add this to your child theme’s functions.php file:

function remove_alizee_contactmethods( $contactmethods ) {
   unset($contactmethods['alizee_facebook']);
   unset($contactmethods['alizee_twitter']);
   unset($contactmethods['alizee_googleplus']);
   unset($contactmethods['alizee_linkedin']);

   return $contactmethods;
}
add_filter( 'user_contactmethods', 'remove_alizee_contactmethods', 11, 1);

Hey Vlad, adding that code to my functions gave me “the white screen of death”.

The site didn’t load just a blank screen.

I see you managed to restore it.
The code is correct, you probably don’t have an opening php tag in your functions file. Can you post the contents of your functions.php file to pastebin please? Or here if it’s not very long.

ha ha, yes the white screen of death is normally never as bad as it seems. I fixed via ftp access. Here is my current functions file…

<?php
// Lets declare the name of our child theme
$themename = "micropoetry";
function remove_admin_bar_links() {
	global $wp_admin_bar;
	$wp_admin_bar->remove_menu('new-content');
	$wp_admin_bar->remove_menu('get-shortlink');
	$wp_admin_bar->remove_menu('my-account-with-avatar');
}
add_action( 'wp_before_admin_bar_render', 'remove_admin_bar_links' );
function ya_do_it_admin_bar_remove() {
        global $wp_admin_bar;

        /* **edit-profile is the ID** */
        $wp_admin_bar->remove_menu('edit-profile');
 }
add_filter('sidebar_login_widget_avatar_size','new_login_avatar_size');
function new_login_avatar_size(){
    return 70;
}

I added the function to your code: http://pastebin.com/JtPCPhf7
Also tested the function I gave you and it works fine.
