"posted" below the post-title. Translate into German

I can not do it: the “posted” under the title translate into German. It is translated in the language file.
It may just as well be gone! The author too :slight_smile:
The date should stay. Best with time.
Can I set this in “additional CSS”?
(I use a child-theme.)

Can someone help me, please.

In the category overview it is correct:

Hi,

You can change the posted on text in inc / template-tags.php, from line 80, in this code:

$posted_on = sprintf(
		_x( 'Posted on %s', 'post date', 'sydney' ),
		'<a href="' . esc_url( get_permalink() ) . '" rel="bookmark">' . $time_string . '</a>'
	);

also other text can be changed there, below this code.

Please let me know how it works.

Kind Regards,
Csaba

Hello csaba,

Thank you very much!!
The little word “on” was missing.

I replaced it and the translation works!

Do I have to worry about the next Sydney update overwriting “inc / template-tags.php”?
When I move the template-tags.php to the child folder, it does not work. That’s why I left it in the original folder.
The other adjustments are too complicated for me - for now. So it is good!
Many Thanks!

Kind Regards
Axel

Hi,

Unfortunately you may have to redo the modification after theme update if you leave the file in the parent theme’s folder.

Csaba

Thank you very much!
Maybe in the next update, the word “on” is already included.
