Place Countdown in button slider

Hi all,
i’d like to place a countdown inside the button slider (in place of “click to begin”).

I used this: jQuery Countdown plugin
https://www.jqueryscript.net/demo/Customizable-Countdown-Timer-Plugin-For-jQuery-countdown/

and ‘Header and Footer Scripts’:

Scripts in header:

<link rel="stylesheet" href="/_cntdwn/css/jquery.countdown.css">
<script src="/_cntdwn/js/jquery.plugin.min.js"></script>
<script src="/_cntdwn/js/jquery.countdown.js"></script>
<script src="/_cntdwn/js/jquery.countdown-it.js"></script>
<style type="text/css">
#defaultCountdown { color: red; }
</style>

Scripts in footer:

<?php wp_footer(); ?>
<script>
    (function ($) {
        var austDay = new Date();
        austDay = new Date(2018, 8, 16, 11, 0, 0, 0);
        $('#defaultCountdown').countdown({
            until: austDay
        });
        $('#year').text(austDay.getFullYear());
    })(jQuery);
</script>

but when i place

<div id="defaultCountdown"></div>

in the button slider it does not work.

this is the website: www.flaeru.it
(using the [div] in a single page it seems to work: http://www.flaeru.it/test/ )

If you have any other solution to use ‘a countdown in button slider’ i will be glad to use it :slight_smile:

Thank you
