PHP in Slider

Hi!
I’d like to display some PHP in the Sydney slider, as:
<?php echo($variable); ?>
Is there a simple way to do that? Do I have to remove esc_html(); from slider.php or edit something else?

The best way to edit the main slider block is through either child theme’s functions.php of functionality plugin like Code Snippets. You can override the default slider by reproducing the sydney_slider_template() function as it’s wrapped with plugable function.
