Permalinks contain index.php

Hi
I created regular pages which I intend to publish as static pages, when I try to edit the permalink it has a fixed portion that cannot be edited away, for example ‘index.html’ http://172.104.161.6/index.php/privacy-policy/
How do I rename my link so it is accessible as http://172.104.161.6/privacy-policy.html

Hello there,

To mange the permalinks structure of your site, you can go to Settings > Permalinks in your site admin area (/wp-admin). If there is no option to exclude the index.php in there, you should contact your server administrator or support department. It’s really out of theme’s territory. I am sorry :frowning: As you’re their customer, I am sure they’ll be happy to help you out.

I see thank you for pointing that out I think I can work with that, as I own the wp installation.

You’re welcome!
