Parallax effect for manual (multiple) backgrounds

Dear support,

I really like the parallax effect, but I have added backgrounds manually in the additional CSS section because I needed two backgrounds at the same time (one left, one right). Is it possible to still create a paralax effect?

Site is: https://howtogetrippedathome.com/ and my question is about the header.

I hope you can help me!

Best,
Maarten

Hi,

How I see your header is parallax even after you’ve added the 2 separate images, or do you still experience issues with the parallax effect?

Kind Regards,
Csaba

Dear Csaba,

There is kind of a parallax effect indeed (I didn’t know whether this was also called parallax), but I mean the parallax effect where the content is moving somewhat faster than the background. Like this: https://codepen.io/tribex/pen/mWNWdz

I hope I cleared things up.

Maarten

Hi,

The parallax effect on Moesia is the one you have on your website, not the smooth parallax you’ve posted the link to, you can see the regular parallax effect on our demo: https://demo.athemes.com/moesia/

Kind Regards,
Csaba

Dear Csaba,

Yes, the regular parallax I have on my homepage is the same as the demo indeed. However, when I add a background to a row and set it to parallax in this example page, the background is also moving (unlike on my homepage and in the demo): https://howtogetrippedathome.com/example-parallax

This is the effect I am trying to get. Is this possible with my manual backgrounds?

Best,
Maarten

Hi,

The moving parallax works with the SiteOrigin settings of parallax, by default the parallax is the regular one, so if you want to have parallax on your homepage, please combine the 2 images into 1 and use the SiteOrigin Page Builders parallax option ( which you’ve used in your example ), so that way you can have the moving parallax effect.

Kind Regards,
Csaba
