Page builder template not available for post pages

I have a question. Is it normal that for post pages all the templates I can select are Default, Elementor Canvas and Elementor Full Width?

I am trying to build a single post page template but the Page Builder isn’t available in posts.

I also tried to build it using other templates but:
Default has a side bar and comments that I don’t want to use.
Elementor Canvas doesn’t show menu bar and footer.

Elementor Full Width (that’s the one that generates the results similar to what I want) if stretched to full width generates a white empty space on the right of the page.

Thank you for your help!

Hello, it looks like that feature is in Elementor Pro:

Please feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.

Hi Roman,
Thank you for your message.

Do you think it’s possible to create a serious blog post using the default template?
I’m not sure if I should include menu bar on the top and footer, since I’m planning to write some articles.

The idea is to create some pages that are easily sharable to post some insights about what I do and also create traffic on my website.

The template I’m using now is in my opinion too confused. I’d like to create a full width grey background with my text on… maybe I can create a menu bar on the top slightly modified just for the forum posts…

You can create pages instead of posts using Elementor.

Or that is not appropriate in your case for some reason?

Hi Roman,

Yes, I can, but the problem is header and footer.
The Page builder template includes them into the page, while the full-width one even if includes them has a very weird alignment problem.

As you can see if I stretch a section the alignment of the page becomes completely wrong
and therefore I cannot build the page as I wish.
This doesn’t happen with the Elementor Canvas template, that instead doesn’t show header and footer.

If there was a solution to stop the page from being so badly aligned I’d be more than happy to use the full-width one…

Thank you so much

Hello Dan,

Can you create two pages using those two templates and let me check them?

Hi Roman,

Of course I can.
I created two protected posts pages.

The password to see both is elementor

Thank you!!!

Hello Dan,

Regarding the full width page, try to add this CSS code in Customize → Additional CSS section:

.container > .row > .elementor {
    max-width: 100%;

Regarding the elementor canvas, it doesn’t include header/footer by default so you can make them post-specific. You can find more details on this Elementor documentation page:

Dear Roman,

Thank you for the solution it worked for both.

Have a nice day,

Hi Roman,

Yes, it definitely works.
I still have some problems properly capturing the right DOM sections {i tried something similar but didn’t work… probably as I used max-width: 100;}. Also I need to properly understand thew “>” notation that seems quite clear and worked really well!

Thank you!!!

You are welcome!

Dan, regarding the element>element notation, you can check these links for more details:

Also you might want to check available CSS units:
