One Column/Deleting text on a single page?

Hello all,

I would like to know how to make the body of text on all pages stay at just one column, so they are properly centered.

I am also wondering how I can delete the bottom portion of my front page ( http://www.sveakitchens.com - everything with the blue background, so only the header image and footer are left )

If any coding is needed, some sample code would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi there,

You can use custom Css plugin to put the code below to make your home text center:

.home #primary {
    width: 100%;
}

And I’ve checked your site but I can’t find the blue section on the footer, can you explain? and can you also to take a screenshot for those section?

Regards,
Awan

Thanks Awan, it works great! Is there a way to set this up so it centers the text across the website?

The blue section is above the footer, where the introduction text is. I would like the Home page to just be a giant picture with a header and footer, if possible.

Artist’s rendition of what I mean…

Okay, so I’m also noticing some things that were shown in the preview are hard to find while customizing. Specifically, I want the Services page to have the three icons and summaries side-by-side. I saw a similar feature in the preview, but I can’t seem to find anything built-in and coding columns has not been successful.

So any help with that would also be appreciated.

I asked my fiance to look at it and he told me the theme is broken. Is the only way to get a working template to pay for the premium version? Making the standard one buggy doesn’t exactly sell its features to me.

Hi,

My apologize for the delay and for the inconvenience.

I’ve checked your site again but still didn’t see the blue section.

"The blue section is above the footer, where the introduction text is. I would like the Home page to just be a giant picture with a header and footer, if possible."
Yes, firstly you have to:

  1. set the home page template as “Front page” (Edit the home page, you’ll see the template option on the right side)
  2. set your home page as a static page from customize > static front page
  3. set the header image from customize > header area

Here is the steps to create service page:

  1. Set your service page template as widgetized
  2. go to customize > widget (make sure you open the service page http://prntscr.com/dgbl0q)
  3. Add "Astrid FP: Service widget"
    for the service icon, make sure you upload a featured image to your service items.

And no, you don’t have to buy premium theme for all features on these demo page

The theme are tested and less buggy, but if you found a bug on our themes then please let us know :slight_smile:
