Modifying Theme appearance - show/not show page title, less empty spaces

On site http://secondego.amebis.si/p2/ I can’t change theme appearance.

  1. How to remove page title area? (Page 2)
  2. How to change empty space above the page title? (I wont less space)
  3. How to change top and bottom row empty space? (On the blue row I wont less space above the sentence “How can Amebis help me?” and below the sentence “Click on the button below!”.)

I like to have something like http://demo.athemes.com/sydney/services/ and http://demo.athemes.com/sydney/employees/.

I try with child theme and custom CSS inside the Sydney theme, but nothing happens.
For example:
.page .entry-header display:none

.page-wrap {
padding: 10px 0 100px;
clear: both;
}

Then I started to play to change the static picture of the page. If I press F12 and change picture parameter inside Dev Tools the changes happens. If I write the same line code in child theme style.css nothing happens. For example (also !important doesn’t help):

.header-image {
background-color: #ffffff !important;
border: solid 10px red !important;
}

.header-image {
display: none;
position: relative;
height: 80px;
background-position: center;
background-size: cover;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
}

Hi,

      1. I don’t see any page header / title on your site.
  1. You can remove the empty space from below the content area:

.entry-footer {
    display: none !important;
}

.content-area .hentry {
    padding-bottom: 0 !important;
}

.page .page-wrap .content-wrapper, .single .page-wrap .content-wrapper {
    padding-bottom: 0 !important;
}

Thank you Casba!

You don’t see Page header / title because I already solved my problem with custom css inside the Sydney theme.
.page .entry-header {
display: none;
}

I also found how to manage empty spaces with
.page .page-wrap .content-wrapper, .single .page-wrap .content-wrapper

You were a couple of minutes to fast. I was just intended to write that I solve my problems.

What do you suggest the best way to change the theme behaviour? Child theme or custom css inside the theme? I made a lot of changes when I was trying to change theme behaviour. And it seems to me, that things normally work with custom css, but not all the same things works in child theme.
Am I correct?

Best regards,
Anton

Hi,

If you do only CSS changes, then I suggest to use this Custom CSS Plugin ( or any similar plugin ): https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css/
