Modify News Page for Custom Plugin for List or Grid

I am experimenting with a different look for the Post display (which I refer to as NEWS), either a list or a gird. When I do so, despite what I base the page on, I get a leader content with a title, and way too much space at the top. Refer to the test page

Any thoughts or custom CSS to remove all content prior to the posts themselves. My desire would be to have some text at the top consistent with all other pages on the site titled NEWS followed by a description of the news content, then the posts thereafter. This is desirable but not essential.

I tried making the .entry-header not visible, but this did not removed the leading content. I set the margins and padding to zero as well. The CSS change is as follows:

.single .entry-header, .page .entry-header {
margin-bottom: 30px;
display: none;
}

Hi there,

I am sorry, I don’t understand enough your explanation above. Did you mean that you want to remove the white space at the top of the page and remove the default title page for the blog posts? if yes, please try to use this CSS code below:

.group-blog .page-wrap, .single-post .page-wrap {
    padding-top: 0;
}
.group-blog .hentry .entry-header {
    display: none;
}

Thanks, that did it.

Thanks for the quick response. There was one undesired side effect of the CSS as follows, which targets not only the News text on the base News page, but it also removed this header content from the detailed post listing, which is not what I wanted.

.group-blog .hentry .entry-header {
    display: none;
}

I tried to target just the NEWS base page text using the following:

.hentry .title-post {
display: none;
}

It has similar behaviors (while leaving some of the detailed post information like posting date and categories.

How can I target just the text News at the URL:

http://www.robocomtech.com/news/

While at the same time leaving this information at the top of each detailed post (for example http://www.robocomtech.com/emane-viewer/).

In the browser debug window, the id tree for each is very similar.

I had to assign a Posts to a site page, so you may need to check the following URL for what is the revised Posts page, which is a Gird with two entries per row and a right sidebar for this discussion.

Hi,

Please try this CSS code below:

.group-blog header.entry-header {
    display: none;
}
