Max width for "full width" page

Hello,

As I make my browser window wider, the width of the body text on my full-width page (is this called the container?) resizes in a few increments. Using a pixel ruler, it seems like the content-sizes jump from ~720 pixels to ~940 pixels as I make my browser window bigger; if I keep making the window bigger, the container size jumps another size larger. Is there any way to limit this so that 940 pixels is the largest possible width? If the visitor uses a larger browser window, I’d like to just keep increasing the white padding on the sides indefinitely. Thank you!

Hello there,

Try adding this CSS code into Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS in your site dashboard.

@media only screen and (min-width:992px) {

  .container {
    width: 940px !important;
  }

}

That works! Thank you for your help.

You’re welcome!

Hi Kharis,

Somehow this CSS fix stopped working as I was adjusting other settings. All of my pages/posts/projects are now full-width, and are not limited to the 940 pixel max width. Is it possible to check the site to debug?

Thank you!

I am sorry, nothing I can do at this moment as your site isn’t being publicly accessible. Is there any other way for me to access it? Maybe granting me to log into your admin area could help? You could share the login credentials to kharisblank@gmail.com and mention the link to this topic in your email body.
