Logo not linking to Homepage

Hi - this is probably a really silly request… but I’m using West theme, and have added my logo in the theme builder, in customise appearance. But it isn’t automatically linking to the homepage. All other themes I have used in Wordpress have done this as standard, so I am surprised. Can anyone point me in the direction of a quick and easy fix ? I can’t have a site where the visitor can’t click on the logo to go back to the homepage!
THanks,

Hello there,

Please go to Appearance > Editor > then check whether the following function does exist in the functions.php file?

/**
 * Site branding
 */
if ( ! function_exists( 'west_branding' ) ) :
function west_branding() {
	if ( get_theme_mod('site_logo') ) :
		echo '<a href="' . esc_url( home_url( '/' ) ) . '" title="' . esc_attr(get_bloginfo('name')) . '"><img class="site-logo" src="' . esc_url(get_theme_mod('site_logo')) . '" alt="' . esc_attr(get_bloginfo('name')) . '" /></a>';
	else :
		echo '<h1 class="site-title"><a href="' . esc_url( home_url( '/' ) ) . '" rel="home">' . esc_html(get_bloginfo('name')) . '</a></h1>';
		if ( get_bloginfo( 'description' ) ) {
			echo '<h2 class="site-description">' . esc_html(get_bloginfo( 'description' )) . '</h2>';
		}
	endif;
}
endif;

Hi
Thank you so much firstly for responding to my post.
I can’t access the EDITOR within Wordpress. When I click on Appearance, there is no EDITOR option. The last option is Background and Templates (LC) . Am I missing something very very obvious here?
Thanks

Hello there,

Is your site running under WordPress network (multisite)? If so, please log into your site network. From admin bar, hover on My Sites > Network Admin > Themes > Editor > select “West” > select functions.php file.
