Login through top menu using modal plugin

So I want to make it possible to log into my site by clicking a log in link in the top menu. As it is right now I’m getting re-directed to the usual WP Log in page, but I want to use a modal login plugin so the users don’t get redirected to the login page. How do I modify the links int he menu to use the plugin?

I guess using a child theme would be the way to start, but then I need to know where/how to modify the code!

Is it possible to use short code from the plugin when modifying the menu?

I’m sorry, we don’t really offer plugin support, especially for plugins we’re not familiar with.

I might have formulated my question wrong.
What I wanted to know is, if I want to manualy edit the menu, like through a HTML-editor or something like that, where do I do that?

There isn’t such an editor unfortunately.
However, you can filter the menu to add custom items. See here please.
You should probably check first if the plugin you want to use doesn’t already provide a menu item that does what you want.

Now that is probably what I was looking for!
The plugin I want to use does support this kind of “filtering” or what it’s called. I think I should be able to figure it out from here!

Thank you very much!
