Links broken from services widget?

This is the website in question, using the Talon theme:

I have created a variety of services, and I would like an excerpt describing each to appear on the homepage, and if the user clicks on “learn more” then they would be taken to a longer page with more description. It seems as though this is the intended design.

However currently when the user clicks on “learn more” they are taken to a page that only shows the excerpt, not to the longer page.

I suspected it may have to do with two pages having the same permalink, so I changed the one in the services widget to “excerpt”, and verified that the “learn more” link pointed to the longer page. And yet, clicking on the link still goes to the excerpt page.

Likewise, navigating via the top menu also only goes to the excerpt page, not to the longer page.

Also I don’t know if this is related, but for some reason the “Organizational Consultant” page continually comes up as “page not found” even when clicking “view page” from the admin dashboard. I have verified that it’s published and public, and have tried changing the permalink, and tried setting it to pagebuilder template and back again, but nothing seems to work.

Thanks in advance for any insights.

Hello Aurora,

  1. It looks like some redirection. You can try to temporarily deactivate all your plugins except aThemes Toolbox and Page Builder by SiteOrigin, and see if it helps.

  2. Please check this tutorial:

I am having the same issue with the Moesia theme. I have followed the instructions in your post but it hasn’t fixed the issue. It’s strange as on of my pages in the navigation works.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you
