Link for credits on footer

hi
i use sydney pro and i would like to know how to make a link for the credit on footer.for example :when you type “design by webdesigner” on the footer i want when you click it to go to another website.
is it possible to do that or i have to do it through editor>footer?but the problem with that way is that when i update the theme it goes back to "powered by athemes"

Hi, you can edit the footer from child theme, so your modified files will not replaced when you upload your theme.

You can add HTML directly in the footer credits options found in the Customizer.
