Left align + Padding

#1

Hi!

I have an issue after updating several plugins.

The front page remained unchanged, but all other pages now have no padding on both the left and rights sides of the page.

Please see:

Any suggestions?

Hi evaklassen,

please review your template at page attribute for every pages

The thing is you need to update the theme to match the changes in the Page Builder plugin. You’re using 1.26, we’re at 1.40. I hope you didn’t make any code changes directly in the theme.

Hi Vlad!

I have made changes to the code :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve been putting off making a child theme but I guess that’s the answer to my problem, yes?

Thanks!

Well, here’s a quick solution until you decide.

Open up the stylesheet, search for every instance of .panel and replace with .so-panel. Don’t do a search&replace because it will also replace other stuff, do it manually please.

Frick’n genius is what you are. It’s like magic!

Thank you!

Hi Vlad.

It seems the front page (http://www.naturalcyclecourier.ca) now has some padding issues at the top and bottom of the widgets (Your Satisfaction Matters, Stats, etc).

I tried manipulating some of the padding but to no avail.

Thanks :slight_smile:

Looks like you’ve deleted some code. Add this please and adjust if you want:

.panel-grid-cell section {
    padding: 80px 0;
}

Ah!

Figured it out.

The code wasn’t deleted but I had changed this:

.panel-grid-cell section {
padding: 80px 0;
z-index: 999;

To this:

.so-panel-grid-cell section {
padding: 80px 0;
z-index: 999;

Which made the front page screwy.

Thanks again!

I wish I knew what you know :slight_smile:

That’s exactly why I said you should do it manually, so you can be sure you only replace .panel, not .panel-grid-cell or anything else :slight_smile:

Noted! Hindsight really is 20/20.

Thanks again!
