Issue 2 of 2 - Perth Pro Header Menu Adding Blank Space Below

Awan, Csaba, Kharis, (Vlad?)… Can you help with removing the blank space below the header menu that has appeared in the last several months? I have multiple sites (4+) that this issue has happened to.

Example Site
Realtors.video

It started several months ago when we were trying to remove the thin lines that started appearing this year on Perth sites that used row separators. Between you and another in the forum and myself, we managed to put together some CSS that seemed to work. I have since removed it and the thin lines didn’t return. Strange.

Code Added (and now removed)
.svg-container {
transform: translate3d(0,0,0);
}

.row-separator {
top: -3px !important;
}

.row-sep-b {
bottom: -3px !important;
}

That is when the blank space started appearing below front page header menus. It is larger when I am signed into Wordpress. It is still there but smaller when signed out. Stranger.

Any help would be appreciated. J

Hello there,

The issue doesn’t seem to appear on my end as seen on the below screencast.

Have you been able to manage it? If haven’t yet, please take screenshot and upload it to cloudup.com, then share its link here.

Kharis! Hope you are doing well.

Thanks for replying to this issue. All 4 matching sites have it. I’ve cleared the Safari browser cache and restarted. That didn’t help.

CSS Code (on all 4 sites)

footer .site-info a:hover {
color: #000;
text-decoration: none;
}

.social-menu-widget a[href*=“Jriangle.com”]::before {
content: ‘\f0ac’;
}

}

content: ‘\f007’;
}

.social-menu-widget a[href*=“mailto:J@Realtors.video?subject=Contact%20Request”]::before {
content: ‘\f0e0’;
}

.header-button.left-button {
background-color: #ff9933;
border: 4px solid #fff;
color: #fff;
}

.header-button.left-button:hover {
background-color: transparent;
border: 4px solid #ff9933;
color: #ff9933;
}

Plug-ins used (I’ve already turned each one off, one at a time… that’s not it eather):

It doesn’t happen 100% of the time either. Most of the time the space is there but every once in a while, for no apparent reason, it goes away. Strange.

If you can please look into the other ongoing issue I posted about several times (one is just above or below this one) about row separators. Roman keeps replying with answers to questions I didn’t ask about “Similar” items and no answers to the issue. I just want to know if it is possible to have a background image in the separator area. I though I have done it before on other sites but I can’t seem to do it now.

Thanks again for looking into this issue. J

Hello there,

It looks fine on my Safari on MacBook Pro retina display.

Cloudup

I’m really clueless since the issue doesn’t seem to be consistent. Sorry :frowning:

But, please try adding the below custom CSS code:

@media only screen and (min-width:1025px) {

  .header-clone {
    height: 101px !important;
  }

}

Let me know how it goes.

Kharis

… it seemed to work, but it signed you out of Wordpress! Bizarre. Do not use the above code! I am remembering another “Perth” site I did a few years ago. It still has this issue as well. The only thing that makes it go away is to change the size of the browser window a little (Bottom corner drag) and it goes away. It is there every time you go to the front page. The problem is related to only the "Front Page"s of Perth sites. If its just my site then I guess it’s OK. I just don’t want others to have to go through this.

Thanks for your help Kharis. you 100% of the time are spot on and have positive help to offer, even when it occasionally has side effects! I really do appreciate you and your help over the years. J
