Increase the container width Moesia default page

I’m using the default page template in Moesia theme. Is there a way to increase the container width? Will it still be responsive?

Hello there,

Thank you for asking.

Could you please try to apply the following CSS code through the Simple Custom CSS plugin or child theme’s style.css?

@media only screen and (min-width:992px){

  .page-template-default .content-area {
     width: 77% !important;
  }

  .page-template-default .widget-area {
     width: 20% !important;
  }

}

I’m using SiteOrigin’s CSS editor. If you haven’t sen it you should check it out.

This did not increase the width of the container. I tried changing the 992 to 1280 and that had no effect either.

Hello there,

Please share the link to the page in question, so I can inspect it and be more exact.

I am using DesktopServer for development so there is no link to share. Here’s a screen shot of the SO CSS additions https://snag.gy/B0aJOX.jpg
and the resulting website page https://snag.gy/JP9ArF.jpg. I’m not sure where the style.css file is for this theme, but I’ll be more than happy to furnish it to you if you need it.

I would like to increase the total width of the container so the the body block is wider. Sidebar is OK.

Hello there,

Try this code:

@media only screen and (min-width:992px){

   .page-template-default .container{
      min-width: 100% !important;
   }

   .page-template-default .content-area{
      width: 70% !important;
   }

   .page-template-default .widget-area{
     width: 27% !important;
   }

}
