In which file is additional css code stored?

HI,

Im just curious in which file is additional css code stored? For me it is sometimes more convenient to work with files directly, but I cant figure out where this additional css goes.

Thanks,
Andrew

Hello Andrea,

WordPress system stores it as internal stylesheet which presents inside the header tag. You can check it by viewing the source code of your site, and search for: id="wp-custom-css"

If you wish to use a separate file, you should use a child theme. You can write your custom styles in the child theme’s style.css file.

We have a pre-made one already, which only contains the basic code for your starter point.

Please note that, child theme is actually a different theme. Enabling it will eliminate all configurations you’ve done through customizer (Appearance > Customize). To sync it, you can use this plugin.
