Howto change color of top post image

Hi,
Here’s a webpage example from my blog:
http://www.cirkelvaneenheid.be/blog/blog/category/energie-van-de-toekomst/
You see a schematic of a cathode/anode etc.; on both sides of this drawing there is a blue color. How to set this to another color of my choice ? Also would like to change the white background colour where the text of the post is.
Thanks,
Marc

Hi Marc,

I am sorry, I can’t understand your issue, Can you explain it more?
its would be great if you explaining it using print screen also.

Awan

Dear Awan, is the link working ?

http://www.cirkelvaneenheid.be/blog/blog/category/energie-van-de-toekomst/

Can you seen the blue background color above the title ? Can I change it ?

Hi,

Did you mean this http://prntscr.com/dpk2e1? if yes, here is the CSS code to change the color:

  • change the white color for the post content:
.hentry {
    background-color: #dddddd;
}
  • change the blue color (thumbnail background color):
.entry-thumb {
    background-color: yellow;
    border-color: orange;
}
.cat-link {
    background-color: brown;
}

Regards,
Awan

thanks, but that’s not what I ment;

For the 1st question: yes, of course, the blue color around the drawing (same as the arrow you draw)

for the 2nd question: not the background color of the overview=posts in the grid; I want to change the background color of the post=the articles; example:

http://www.cirkelvaneenheid.be/blog/blog/2016/12/23/5g-hangt-boven-onze-hoofden-in-2020/
(now it’s black text on white;)

by the way, this code I tried but it did not change anything to the grid or the post itself(tried it several times):

.entry-thumb {
background-color: yellow;
border-color: orange;
}
.cat-link {
background-color: brown;
}

this code I already had but that’s for the grid itself:

.hentry {
background-color: #F2F3CF;
}

Hi,

I’ve checked your page here http://www.cirkelvaneenheid.be/blog/blog/category/energie-van-de-toekomst/ (its for the 1st question, right?) and looks like the CSS code is working. The blue color are changed to yellow color. You can change it to another color if you want.

Then for the 2nd question, please try this CSS code instead:

.hentry {
    background-color: #F2F3CF !important;
}

Yes! Thanks, I was clicking the wrong URLs, sorry. Now all your code is working.
Have a nice new year,
Cheers,
Marc
