How to override Proudly powered by WordPress | Theme: NewsAnchor by aThemes

Please here is my website www.townstovillages.com
I will like to customize the footer to @2018. All Right Reserved. TownstoVillages

Hello,

Please note that there is an option in NewsAnchor Pro theme (Customize → NewsAnchor Pro options → Footer credits), which will allow you to change footer credits very easily.

As a workaround, you can go to your public_html/wp-content/themes/newsanchor folder via SFTP or cPanel, open footer.php file with a text editor and find this code:

<div class="container">
	<a href="<?php echo esc_url( __( 'http://wordpress.org/', 'newsanchor' ) ); ?>"><?php printf( esc_html__( 'Proudly powered by %s', 'newsanchor' ), 'WordPress' ); ?></a>
	<span class="sep"> | </span>
	<?php printf( esc_html__( 'Theme: %2$s by %1$s.', 'newsanchor' ), 'aThemes', '<a href="http://athemes.com/theme/newsanchor" rel="designer">NewsAnchor</a>' ); ?>
</div><!-- /.container -->

…then replace it with this and save changes:

<div class="container">
	<p>©2018. All Rights Reserved. TownstoVillages</p>
</div><!-- /.container -->

Also please note that you have to create a child theme and override modified footer.php file in order to prevent your changes to be rewritten after theme update.
